Over 35 businesses attended a Jobs Fair in Chipping Sodbury last week, which was held by the local MP Luke Hall.
A wide range of local employers were in attendance, including Stagecoach, North Bristol NHS Trust, Bromford and local businesses and organsiations such as Hobbs House Bakery, Bluebird Care, Charles Saunders Ltd and many more.
Many local residents stopped by the event, to view a variety of vacancies including full, part time and volunteering roles, which was the latest efforts of Luke Hall MP’s Positive Plan for local Jobs and the Economy.
The MP’s Jobs Fair was the 9th of its type, and comes as Luke Hall continues to deliver on his pledge to hold regular recruitment fairs in South Gloucestershire.
Anna from Bluebird Care in South Gloucestershire said: “We were delighted to be invited to the recent jobs fair and found it to be extremely well organised. It was not only a great opportunity to promote our current roles, but also really good to meet and network with fellow local employers, businesses and education sectors”.
Luke Hall MP said: “My 9th Jobs Fair has been one the busiest ones we’ve had yet. We had employers from right across South Gloucestershire in Chipping Sodbury meeting with local people who are looking for work.
The MP continued, “These are a really great way for local people to have that informal conversation with employers and find out if the jobs that they have on offer are right for them and that they work for them. These Jobs Fair Events are a really key part of our Positive Plan for Jobs and the Local Economy, so thank you to everyone who helped make the event a success”.
