Electric vehicle owners in Frampton Cotterell and Coalpit Heath can look forward to brand new charging facilities in the community, as plans continue to progress for this vital experience of infrastructure.
Following a period of consultation, South Gloucestershire will in the coming months, begin their initial work to develop two electric vehicle charging bays near the row of shops and businesses along Lower Stone Close.
Having called for these facilities on behalf of the community, Luke Hall MP has welcomed this update, which formed part of his Positive Plan for the Environment, and said,
“The number of electric cars in our rural villages is growing all the time, and so it is only right we deliver more charging points which are easily accessible for everyone, and give people more opportunity to make that switch to cleaner, greener transport”
The location on Lower Stone Close is expected to be an ideal spot for the new charging facilities, as they can be used by parents taking their children to Watermore Primary School, guests of the local café and restaurants along the road, or those who visiting friends and family in the village.
The delivery of the new charging facilities is set to be delivered in the Autumn of 2022.
