Thornbury Litter Busters were once again pleased to welcome MP Luke Hall to their Big Spring Clean event on Saturday 9th of March
The Thornbury Litter Busters have continued to carry out crucial work in the local community, helping to keep the town clean and free from harmful litter.
Event organiser, Kim Webber said
Local MP Luke Hall expressed his delight in joining the group, and said, “It was great to catch up with the Thornbury Litter Busters and help out with their Big Spring Clean. The Litter Busters headed by Kim do a fantastic job in Thornbury and on behalf of the local community I thank them for their hard work and efforts.”
The MP added, “Together we can continue working towards a greener South Gloucestershire, which is litter-free.”
The Big Spring Clean follows the Government’s National Litter Strategy, which was published last year. The new strategy aims to improve education about the hazards of litter, and provide local authorities with stricter penalties which can be issued to those caught littering.
