This week in Parliament, Luke Hall MP called on the Government to lay out the timescales for a decision on Thornbury Health Centre.
Extra facilities at Thornbury would enhance GP services, provide greater primary care and outpatient services, enhanced mental health support, and much more. Following his question, Luke has secured a meeting with the Health Secretary to push the government to finally give a decision on the local bid for Government funding to deliver the project.
The local MP also called on the Transport Secretary to confirm the extra government support for bus services, and highlighted the importance of finding a permanent solution to the 84, 85 and 622 services. The Secretary of State for Transport states clearly that it is vital South Gloucestershire Council and the WECA Mayor work together to protect these services.
