Luke Hall MP was delighted to welcome another group of Yate residents up to Westminster this week for a fully guided tour of parliament and a Q&A session with Luke.
Residents were treated to an insightful tour around the renowned and historic buildings, led by the brilliant and knowledgeable parliament tour guides.
Luke then spoke to residents about the ongoing work being done to deliver for his constituents, followed by a Q&A session where residents raised various topics including the introduction of half hourly train services from Yate to Bristol, and residents expressed how invaluable this service has been. Other topics included the delivery of Yate Park & Ride and introduction of Junction 18A on the M4, all part of Luke’s plan to Get Gloucestershire Moving.
Residents also raised their concerns about the proposed housing plans on the Greenbelt and Luke spoke passionately of the work he is doing to oppose these plans and ensure our Greenbelt and South Gloucestershire precious countryside is protected. Luke listened carefully to residents’ concerns and assured them of his unwavering commitment to ensure protection against poorly planned development in the area.
Luke said: “I am incredibly thankful to all the residents who made the trip up to Westminster, and for the brilliant questions and vital issues that were raised. Since becoming an MP, I have always spoke of the importance of residents being given a chance to visit the Houses of Parliament and I am already looking forward to our next tour planned in the coming weeks.
